NoViolet Bulawayo  の “Glory”(4)

1. being that
With not much to occupy them being that the celebrations hadn't started, the miserable animals in the sun feasted on the Chosen with coveting eyes, ....(p.5)
.... the majority of them [the dogs] were actually famished being that they hadn't been paid their salaries for at least the previous three months.(p.9)
『ルミナス英和辞典』(第2版)によると、being as [that]「...

2. 数詞+since
.... she [the donkey] utterly dazzles in this latest clip, hands down her best performance so far ever since she began speaking at rallies three, four years since ....(p.34)

3. disappear
.... an enemy that couldn't be tortured, couldn't be raped, couldn't be disappeared, couldn't be assassinated.(p.36)

4. so .... that の変形
The elite squad of Defenders .... would say later they found him [the Old Horse] reclining on a sofa, surrounded by the most splendid portraits from his days of glory, himself even more splendid that it took all their willpower not to prostrate themselves and sing his praises.(p.78)
And he'd [the Father of the Nation had] felt perfectly safe and secure under their [Defenders'] protection that he perpetually ignored Dr Sweet Mother and her Future Circle's insistence ....(p.79)
直前に even more splendid, perfectly safe and secure があり、ふつうなら so .... that となるところだが、ここでは so が even more と perfectly で代用されている。
